Four bedrooms: 2 x king size, 1 x double all with ensuite shower rooms with shower, basin and WC. 1 x bunk beds. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. sitting room, TV lounge, dining room, kitchen. Additional WC.

Underhowe is an exceptional contemporary property located just a minutes walk from the centre of the popular village of Grasmere in the heart of the Lakes. Presented to a very high standard, this welcoming home, embraces all the latest technology whilst retaining character and charm. The living accommodation is arranged across the ground floor with a cosy and welcoming sitting room with comfortable sofas arranged around the log burning stove and TV and a comfortable TV lounge with large screen TV and large floor top ceiling windows that open to the patio garden beyond. The smart kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and social breakfast bar. In the centre of the house is the smart dining room, ideal for celebration dinners. Chose from three king size bedrooms each with superb ensuite shower room, whilst the final bedroom is presented with bunk beds and is complemented by the family bathroom just along the landing. Outside there is a patio garden with outdoor dining furniture and to the front of the cottage there is private parking for three cars. Grasmere is one of the prettiest and certainly the most famous of all the Lake District villages, sitting on the side of the lake that shares its name and surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. The village offers a great range of local shops and places to eat from welcoming tea rooms, cosy country pubs and fine dining. There is and endless choice of walks of all standard from the village as well as a choice of routes for those on two wheels for both mountain bikes and road bikes.

Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the lovely village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family have been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century and Grasmere Lake, plus Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland Wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
