Foxglove Cottage, converted from a former coach house, provides lovely accommodation in a peaceful setting, just 15 minutes' walk from the town centre, and 5-10 minutes' walk from the river and the magnificent rolling countryside of Swaledale. The property has an open-plan living area, and the warm and comfortable sitting area has doors leading to the sunny patio, perfect for sitting out and enjoying an evening meal. Discover Richmond's cobbled streets and architecture, featuring an array of superb inns and restaurants and several intriguing museums. Explore the fascinating Norman castle, peruse the colourful stalls at the weekly market, or take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque River Swale. A superb base for exploring Swaledale, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, York Minster and the North York Moors, making this the ideal location for touring the North of England. Richmond sits on a prominent hilltop at the entrance to Swaledale and north of the River Swale. This ancient market town still features classic cobbled streets, narrow alleys and a wealth of character, with the town expanding around the Norman castle which dates back to 1701. Visit the weekly market or the monthly farmers' market as well as heading to many of the pubs, shops and cafés dotted about.
