Nearby attractions include the Three Peaks and the Settle to Carlisle Railway line, renowned for being one of the most scenic railway routes in Britain. With the Dales and the Lakes within easy touring distance, this is a superb holiday destination at any time of the year.

There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and the town also boasts an excellent public swimming pool. Three days a week, the Victoria Hall is transformed into a cinema, providing visitors with all the activities of a larger town. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway is also a huge draw and runs regular trips across some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
