A stone-built, end-terrace cottage situated in the conservation village of Luddenden, just four miles from the ever-popular Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge. This Luddenden cottage is situated on a steep hill set above another property, a style known locally as an ‘over-dwelling’ unique to the Calder Valley due to its hilly landscape. It is accessed at the front at first floor level and provides a charming holiday cottage for a romantic retreat. This charming Luddenden cottage has one double bedroom with beams and a picture window with magnificent views as well as a spacious bathroom. On the second floor of this lovely holiday cottage in the Dales is a small well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with a cosy, living flame-effect gas fire set in a feature stone fireplace. Outside, there is a small balcony with outstanding views of the local countryside looking out across Calderdale, a great place to sit and relax after a hard day’s walking. The village pub, built in the 17th century, is just a five-minute walk away, renowned for its hospitality, good ale and excellent food, while a ten- minute walk brings you to the hamlet of Midgley and its grocery shop selling local produce. Enjoy inspiring walks from the doorstep across the beautiful moors or explore nearby Hebden Bridge, Haworth, and the bustling town of Skipton, all within an easy drive. Look out for the Ted Hughes Festival taking place in the town of Mytholmroyd, his birthplace, each year, or visit Shibden Hall, an exquisite, six hundred year old timber manor house set within 37 hectares of the Shibden Valley!
