The village is half a mile walk, where a country pub serves food and local ales, while the beach side pub/restaurant in nearby Low Newton serves ale from its microbrewery and a stroll to the nature reserve allows for a spot of bird watching, The market town Alnwick is a must visit for the magnificent castle that was used as part of the set on the Harry Potter films.
