There are excellent walking routes with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just 4 miles outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are both within 11 miles and the popular spa town of Buxton is an 8 mile trip. Not forgetting the pretty town of Bakewell situated just 8 miles away and Chatsworth House and Garden within 10 miles. Walk through the pretty cottage front garden and into the porch where you can step through into the cosy sitting room with two comfortable armchairs, ideally situated in front of the wood burner a lovely space to relax in during chillier weather. Pop something on the nearby TV with Freeview or just curl up with a good book. There is also a dining table in the lounge, a great place to come together and enjoy a celebration meal.
