Just a stone's throw away from the property are some beautiful beaches which make for a great day out with a picnic, you can visit the nearby Oldshoremore Beach or for the more active, take a four-mile walk to Sandwood Bay Beach, which has sand dunes and a loch. Within a short drive, you can explore Kinlochbervie, which has a post office, a shop for any essentials and hotel restaurants serving both food and drink, all year round. For more excitement, take a day trip to Handa Island where hundreds of puffins can be seen. Slightly further afar is Durness, with plenty of amenities, a golf course and lots of local history such as Smoo Cave, a cave complex dating back about 5000 years.
