Description

Exposed beams can be seen throughout this wonderful cottage and once you step through the front door you will see an open plan living area with a small kitchen area, dining table and chairs and a sitting area with original fireplace. Up on the first floor and open to the stairs is a large, light and lovely double bedroom with a vaulted, beamed ceiling. The en-suite bathroom with corner bath and shower over also features exposed beams. Outside is a small seating area with bistro set, a lockable bike store and there’s also the convenience of private off road parking. Honley is a thriving, historic village situated on the banks of River Holme, close to Holmfirth, Huddersfield and the stunning Peak District National Park. Honley has shops, a good variety of restaurants, pubs, a church and an annual agricultural show, along with regular bus services and a train station, whilst Holmfirth and Huddersfield have enhanced amenities. The Peak District offers many opportunities for walkers and there are lovely country and village walks starting from the cottage door. The Tour de Yorkshire runs through the nearby towns and villages, so why not hop on your bike and discover the area. A romantic base for a couple with plenty of places to visit within reach, ideal for walkers and cyclists.

The large village of Honley is situated close to Holmfirth and is set on the banks of the River Holme. The village has a selection of shops and pubs, along with a Grade II listed church, with the remains of a set of stocks in its grounds, and Honley hosts an annual agricultural show.
