The period feel of the property has not been lost, just enhanced by an eclectic, interesting and individual style, with up-cycled lamps, retro finds and colourful decor. This semi-detached half-timbered house feels welcoming and relaxing as soon as you walk through the door. If you are looking for space, privacy and somewhere 'off the beaten track' to chill out, this lovely property will appeal to you. Ideal for a small family, a couple or friends, there is lots of room to spread out, both inside and out. There are two bedrooms on the first floor (king-size and twin) and two bathrooms. One is quite a surprise, unique and rather quirky - a bath 'cupboard' in the master bedroom - the other one is a very smart shower room. Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen, a separate utility/cloakroom, a spacious dining room, and a really cosy, comfortable sitting room with an open fire and a table for a romantic dinner a deux. The garden runs to three sides of the house and is quite magical, with different 'rooms' to explore and enjoy. The whole property is surrounded by wooded farmland and is frequently visited by the local muntjac family for breakfast.
Helhoughton is a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside, just south west of the market town of Fakenham, and about twenty minutes from the coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea. It is a great base for exploring this beautiful area of North Norfolk, perfect for walking and cycling, as well as visiting local attractions - Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Sculthorpe Hawk and Owl Trust, The Thursford Collection and Christmas Spectacular - and enjoying a day at nearby Fakenham Races!
