Indoor heated garden swimming pool, BBQ, tennis court and summer house and table football.

Eco biomass heating. Double electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off-road parking. Private grounds with lawn, tennis court, fire pit and playground area. One well behaved pet welcome for all bookings. No smoking allowed. Shop 4.2 miles, pub 1.3 miles. Note: There is a lake next to the property, please supervise children at all times ( could be dry , weather dependent). If you do wish to use the lake please bring your own equipment, including safety equipment. Note: This property comprises 3/4 of the building, 1/4 is occupied by the owners (There are no interconnecting doors). Note: Internet signal can be intermittent in some rooms. Please note: A single pet will be allowed at the property from 2022, Dog is to be kept downstairs and not on any furniture or beds.
Location Details
The town of Caistor is situated in the heart of Lincolnshire on the outskirts of the Wolds AONB, boasting a popular weekly market, shops, a local pub, 56 listed buildings, restaurants, and takeaways. The town is steeped in history with ruins of a 4th century wall, a former cemetery, access to the Viking Way walk, as well as access to nearby villages of Nettleton and Grasby.
From rolling countryside to historic cathedral cities and traditional seaside resorts, Lincolnshire offers a peaceful alternative to the discerning holidaymaker.

We have just had a week at Moortown House for a big family birthday trip. The house is full of character and history yet homely, comfortable, warm,spacious and spotlessly clean Owners are on site, super friendly, helpful and informative but not intrusive at all The pool was a big hit with all 3 generations, lovely and warm too We will certainly be looking to return here
We just spent a week at Moortown house and the experience was amazing. The owners were absolutely lovely, leaving a welcome basket and a lovely little gift at the end of our stay along with a bottle of wine for a special birthday within our party! The house was clean and well stocked, grand yet homely and the facilities were great. The kids loved the tennis courts and the playground and especially the swimming pool. It was clean and lovely and warm. The bedrooms and living areas were comfortable and spacious and the surrounding is beautiful. Pubs, shops, a lovely activity farm, wildlife parks and beaches within a 5-30 minute drive. Would definitely go back.
We stayed at Moortown House for a week at the end of October 2021 as a group of eleven, with ages from 18 months to 82. The house is stunning and even better than the photos suggest. It was great having a downstairs room for members of the family with mobility issues. Upstairs the rooms were lovely, really big with great views. One of the rooms didn’t have a wardrobe or cabinet to store clothes, which would have been helpful. However, we had a spare room so could utilise that. The kitchen was well equipped but if you needed anything that wasn’t there the owners were very happy to supply it, if they could. Wifi was a bit sporadic but perhaps to be expected in such a large, old house and it is mentioned in the description and generally mobile coverage was good. The heated pool was wonderful and good size, which was enjoyed by all and great to keep the kids entertained. We met the owners on a couple of occasions; a lovely couple eager to ensure we enjoyed our stay but not intrusive. Nearby you have access to supermarkets in Brigg and Caistor and a huge garden centre at Brigg, with the largest Christmas collection we have ever seen in a garden centre, which also had lots for the children to do. The Cross Keys Inn in nearby Grasby serves great food with lovely views out to the surrounding countryside. We really enjoyed it here and would recommend it.
