Outside, you will find a balcony area and ample off-road parking. Mill House is a superb base for a family break to Yorkshire. Set in an idyllic location at Boggle Hole, Mill House offers reverse level accommodation, situated on a small complex at South House Farm. With a spacious open-plan living area to take in the fabulous views over the countryside and coast, this makes an ideal homestay for a relaxing family holiday. The interior boasts a characterful space with plenty of room to spread out and a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for family meals together at the large dining table. The two bedrooms are on the ground floor, one with an en-suite shower room and one with a dedicated sole use shower room nearby. Patio doors open onto a balcony, where you can sit with morning coffee while drinking in the stunning views. Make full use of the private tennis court available for you to enjoy some leisure time, so don't forget to pack your rackets and trainers. The surrounding countryside and farmland is a haven for wildlife, with nesting birds, roe deer and foxes frequently spotted. Enjoy a scenic walk to Robin Hood's Bay and take the time to explore the historic town of Whitby, home to an imposing abbey. You can also spend a day at Scarborough, with its golden beaches and experience the wildness of the North York Moors. A fabulous holiday home for families and friends alike. With support from our guests, we can help maintain South House Farm holiday cottages as a green tourism business.Our first step to looking towards a greener future was to update the domestic sewerage system to a biologically and environmentally efficient system some years ago. Following this change we continued to incorporate the sustainability concept by installing a bio mass boiler. This replaced the old system of individual oil fired boilers that had previously provided heat for the cottages and the farmhouse. More recently, we reduced our carbon footprint further by installing solar panels, which now help provide us with low cost, low carbon electricity for our family and guests - we export any surplus to the National Grid. Another project which has evolved over the last 20 years at South House Farm is the natural organic approach we have taken to the surrounding farmland, which over time has provided a habitat for a plethora of birds, small mammals, insects flora and fauna which can be enjoyed by all our visitors. A more ambitious plan of ours for the future is to expand our facilities to encourage cyclists to visit and enjoy our beautiful county. We hope that these small contributions within the business will help you appreciate your surroundings more and that you support our green ethos for South House Farm.
