My partner and I stayed at this property recently and I have to say it exceeded our expectations . On arrival we were greeted by the owners who live on the farm adjoining this property they seemed very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. The property benefits from a paddock right outside the door where we were able to exercise our two dogs daily . The property itself was well maintained and the bathroom benefits from both a separate shower as well as a separate bath . The property was well presented clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. We found the owners has left a welcome pack which contained freshly laid eggs from the farm along with honey also produced on the farm . The owners had left a guidebook detailing local attractions , walks known to the locals . We found the property very peaceful the owners were on hand if we needed anything and told us where the local shops were etc but they were also unobtrusive and left us very much alone. The location is simply amazing and this is a great property suitable for couples even our dogs enjoyed the stay . We would highly recommend this property and found it very handy to get to Haworth which is only about a mile from the property . The local pubs also allowed our dogs in which was a added bonus.

My partner and I booked here in need of a lovely relaxing break in a beautiful area with stunning scenery. We read the reviews ( as we always do) and this place sounded perfectly idyllic. There's too much we could write here so here's our quick summary:- Positives - Easy self check in, greeted with hot cross buns, jaffa cakes & locally made honey. Lovely, open plan cottage, with wonderful views over the moors, with a large self contained " paddock" area outside for safe play for children or dogs. Brilliant location for Bronte Country, plenty of walks from the doorstep & within a short drive & easy access to the KWVR for any railway enthusiasts. Lots of various animals around the farm - sheep, donkey, geese, chickens & the resident sheepdogs. Negatives :- Poorly maintained track down to the cottage, full of pot holes & all paths / entrance extremely uneven & muddy. No lighting, ( there are lights all around outside but none work apart from the one outside the door at the top of the steps) so take your own torch as it is literally pitch black. Parts of cottage, appear very tired in places, huge windows but in need of a good clean - in and out. Lovely modern bathroom, but terrible problems with the water system. Shower temperature very temperamental, if you want a hot soak in the bath you need to start it running half hour before as the pressure is only a trickle, (also need to top it up with a few kettles of boiling water as its never hot enough) When you use shower there is always an awful smell afterwards, drainage problems. As it was January when we stayed, it was very cold. The heating there must be on a timer, as it just comes on & off intermittently. Many times we woke up freezing and could see our breath! Electrical problems - while we were there all the power went off 3 times, very frustrating! Very strange, as the owners adjoining cottage/ neighbours still had their supplies on? Bed very comfortable but extremely creaky! Plus the owners have a workshop directly underneath the bedroom so lots of noise & voices can be heard. As this is a working farm, there is always a flurry of activity outside- dogs barking, tractor going past your door & through your outside sitting area etc. If your wanting a relaxing lay in, peace & quiet then this place is not for you. When we first saw the owners in passing, they were very chatty & friendly, lovely couple. However, as our stay went on we did feel very uncomfortable, as though we were being watched? One evening we popped out for an hour to a local pub for an evening meal, leaving our old, very well behaved dogs in the cottage, only to receive a text from the owners saying that they were barking loudly & scratching. ( they never scratch at all, rarely bark even, they are very well trained) and the only time they bark loudly is when someone knocks on the door or they feel threatened) we text them to say we were returning promptly. We felt very mystified by this occurrence? And it made us feel rather unsettled ( especially as there is a locked door in the lounge to the owners adjoining cottage) Needless to say, we decided to pack up early & return home. Yes the cottage is in an ideal location, but we wouldn't stay here again sadly.

Stayed at Highview over the Bank Hol weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Spotless clean, comfortable and we'll equipped oh and fantastic views! Peace and quiet are the order of the day and that was exactly what we wanted. The staircase up to the apartment could be an issue to anyone with mobility issues. Katie and David were great hosts, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable on the locality. Very interesting people well worth a chat with. Thanks both of you.

We stayed here for a week the place is lovely and the host Katie was very helpful and pleasant . The views from the apartment were spectacular. The apartment itself was clean and had all the amenities you would need when we arrived there were little things left for us on our arrival milk butter crumpets tea sugar and coffee which was a nice touch . The only thing I would say it needs was extra lights outside as it is very dark and the property would benefit from it due to the stairs leading up to the property .. I would say all in all it was a very pleasant trip and would definetly recommend it .

Lovely apartment with excellent views over Yorkshire. Good facilities for cooking. We particularly made use of the small slow cooker, ideal for 2 and meant we had nice meal ready after spending the day exploring the lovely countryside. Bathroom lovely with large bath and separate rainfall shower. There are goats and sheep at the property which have lovely characters. The area is very peaceful, you cannot hear traffic only the odd bleat from the goats and owls at night. Outside there is an enclosed area for dogs consisting of large lawn area with wooded area at bottom and stream running just beyond the property. Also seating and bbq. Many footpaths, one directly outside the door heading to Oxenhope where there is a coop and local pub (no food served though). Penistone Hill is a very short drive to the car park with beautiful walks at the top. (This is walkable also but slightly more challenging to get there). Short walk to bus stop to Haworth which is a lovely town with a beautiful park and many dog friendly eateries. We went to the Steam Brewery and Fleece Inn which both serve excellent food sourced locally. This also walkable at 1.5 miles. We found the easiest supermarket was heading towards Halifax, Morrison’s at Illingworth. Local butchers at Cullingworth had a lovely range of meats, sandwiches and pies, particularly ready marinated for bbq.
