1 The Stables, Ryde

We booked this place pretty much exclusively because we saw there were miniature horses on the property. The owner was very kind and took us out to meet them, as well as all the sheep. Some were still quite young and they have a wide range of sheep breeds, so that actually turned out to be quite a treat as well! The property is very quiet (I didn’t hear anyone from the other cottages) and had ample parking. The owners were very clear that we should ask for anything that we need and very hospitable. They provided a fan as it was very hot, and there’s a communal laundry facility you can use where they provide soap. There was milk, tea, cocoa, sugar, etc in the kitchen and a decent size fridge and freezer. We didn’t have a problem getting anywhere on the island from here. Would recommend!

Super accommodation and probably the best place we have stayed on the Isle. We would recommend without hesitation and are sure to return.

The accommodation was so quiet, we all slept well. The owners were excellent hosts. We could not fault the cottage or the area. The cleanliness of the cottage was superb. My husband, son and myself felt so relaxed and comfortable. It was a delight to wake up in the morning and at the end of the day it was a joy to come home to. Thank you so much for a splendid place.

A fantastic place to stay, wonderful location and people. Beautiful property which has everything you need for a family weeks stay. We shall definitely return, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Stayed for the week beginning 4th october 2014. Lovely cottage with a perfect view from your lounge. All amenities included, great kitchen and high standard throughout. Centrally heated with fab wet room and a comfortable bed. Central position on a quiet part of the island yet within easy reach of everything. Great pub 2 miles away serving amazing food with value, The White Hart, Havenstreet, advisable to book at peak times, try the Venison stew! All in all, great week,great cottage, very friendly owners go out of their way to help you. Highly recommend 5*. Will return.

Peaceful location and a beautiful cottage with all amenities you could need. A very good location for visiting the places we wanted to see. So nice to have our own pretty little garden to sit and relax in too. It was all immaculately presented.

Our hosts were welcoming and informative and the accommodation was well presented and comfortable. A great deal of thought has gone into deciding what to provide for guests and we wanted for nothing extra. We will definitely be recommending 1 The Stables to friends and relatives.

Another fabulous holiday back at 1 The Stables, 2 years on the quality of the cottage has not deteriorated at all. The owners are lovely and we cannot fault this property at all.

This vacation rental is in amazing condition, and has all the amenities you could ask for. As nice as it was though, the best part of the property was the horse farm! The owners Helen and Paul were very friendly, and they let my wife and I pet and play with their adorable Shetland ponies and their beautiful horse Whisper. The ponies were sooo cute and friendly, especially the redhead amber. Every morning, we started the day by feeding apples to the Shetland ponies and Whisper. It was magical. This rental property is a must for any animal lovers visiting the Isle of Wight. You will absolutely love it there. We did.

Safe, secure, and generally very child friendly. The owner was very helpful, her property was well equipped, and had everything we needed. The Stables were in a nice location, and not far to drive from all the other attractions.

The area was fantastic. The owners were fantastic. The accommodation was fantastic, and central to cover all the island.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations, a lovely relaxing peaceful place to stay, with very friendly owners. Close to Ryde town but very quiet. Lovely beach nearby. A beautiful island.

The property had a good location and was quiet at night for restful sleep. The owners were helpful and informative with lots of ideas and advice for eating out.

We appreciated the thought that had been put into all areas of the cottage. It made taking a toddler on her first holiday so much easier as the rooms were large and comfortable. To summarise the cottage up it really was a home-from-home during our stay.

The property was a nice peaceful and pleasant place to relax and recharge your batteries. The owners were very nice and obliging.

We came to this cottage for a week in august and it was brilliant I would recommend to stay there. The owner are lovely and made us feel welcome will be booking for next year soon

I liked everything, the accommodation was brilliant and so quiet but in reach to get everywhere and the owner was lovely.

Have just spent only three days at this cottage with our three year old granddaughter and my 75 year old Mum but would definitely like to return. We received the warmest of welcomes from the owners - and their five ponies - much to the delight of our granddaughter. The cottage is in its first season as a holiday let but has been so well thought out in its design and decor and the outside space is both peaceful and safe for little ones. Any help we required was provided in the most friendly and helpful way possible by the owners and we would love to bring our whole family here as you can hire all three cottages together.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The owners are lovely and very helpful. The cottage is lovely a real home from home. The owners ponies are kept in the field behind the cottages, my little girl loved popping down to see them every day.

The property provided good accessibility to the island the owners were very friendly.

Close proximity to Rhyde but still out in the country. Ideally situated for exploring the East and South East of the island while the remainder was only a short drive away. Very friendly hosts.
