Reviews

We spent two weeks in this fabulous apartment last year, and returned for another two this year - and have already booked for next year. It's a spacious extremely comfortable apartment with an en suite AND a separate bathroom. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen - it takes a few seconds to empty. We don't use the cupboards to one side, they do smell a bit fusty - but then, there are lots of other cupboards to use so it's not a big deal. The bed is huge and so comfortable and the apartment is incredibly quiet. When I'm feeling fed up through the year, I take out the photos and have a look and immediately feel better! Restaurants are a short walk away and the apartment is conveniently situated for buses and for walking the Valley of the Rocks. I'd highly recommend this place.

This apartment is in a wonderful position overlooking Lynmouth and the sea but it has very serious drawbacks. The kitchen is in a cellar and it is riddled with damp. The owner has placed a dehumidifier in the kitchen and it collected over 4 litres of water each day of our stay. The cupboards are very modern but on opening they emit a strong damp smell. It is not acceptable to eat on the island unit in the kitchen because of the smell and therefore all meals had to be carried up the many stairs to the lounge table which at least had the view. In addition we were amazed that the owner had not equipped the bed with a mattress protector, likewise the pillows were not protected. All in all we would not advise anyone to rent this property.
