Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double with en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, 1 x double, 1 x twin. Microwave. Bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Kitchen/diner. Sitting room with woodburning stove. Fitted stair gate at the top and bottom on the stairs.
Location Details
Sutton Poyntz is a small village on the outskirts of Weymouth, sitting beneath the George III chalk horse that is carved into the hillside. At the centre of the village is a duck pond, and the Springhead pub. Weymouth and its golden beach is close by and just 13 miles away are the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

Stayed here for my birthday celebrations in February with family and the famous Nelly the labrador! The cottage is immaculate with the most comfortable beds. Situated in the heart of lovely Sutton Poyntz adjacent to the duck pond and The Springhead Pub which is fabulous. Ideal location for walks in the lovely countryside and a walkable distance to Weymouth or use the bus. A lovely touch of a welcoming drink of Baileys and pastries on our first day. We stayed at Duck Cottage with our two children aged 2 and 5, and it exceeded our expectations in many ways. Firstly, we were welcomed by a generous array of arrival goodies including milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, pastries, wine, and an evening tipple for our first night. The cottage is immaculately presented with very comfortable beds, and the duck theme is tastefully continued throughout the property. Everything felt brand new! There is a lovely stream just outside the front door with a friendly crowd of ducks to greet you each morning. Duck Cottage is right opposite the Springhead pub but the excellent double glazing means you can’t hear any noise from there within the cottage. The owner, Karen, was easy to contact and answered all my queries promptly. We would happily stay here again.
