Inside the cottage is gorgeously cute, with 2 separate seating areas to provide those moments of quiet relaxation, the lower ground floor providing a wonderful open-plan seating, dining and kitchen area, complete with the obligatory log-burning stove (starter pack of logs supplied). Numerous beautiful country walks are accessible directly from the cottage and Blockley is well located for visiting the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds. Truly idyllic. Charming and totally welcoming - you'll love this beautiful, rural retreat. .

An ancient village once famous for its silk and corn mills, Blockley lies just 3 miles from Moreton-in-Marsh and features a unique collection of honey-coloured buildings with a pretty village green, two excellent pubs, serving hearty food and real ale, as well as a village store and café, serving dinner on a Friday night. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of the village, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way and the Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close by.

Reviews

We have just returned from a stay at Throwers cottage and unfortunately not the accommodation we were expecting based on the cost we paid. I appreciate due to the pandemic demand is high and this has pushed up the price of accommodation but it means us as customers are paying over the odds and in this case I believe we have been overcharged by around £300 for the week. We were asked to arrive late due to additional cleaning and unfortunately we found the accommodation to be dusty and generally unclean, especially the rugs, BBQ and bedside tables, plus dog poo in the garden. We would have expected a much higher level of cleanliness. I would also recommend if you have a child under the age of 8 you do not book this cottage due to the extremely steep staircase directly outside the bedroom doors. The area was beautiful and I would recommend a visit just not in this accommodation, very disappointing considering the price we paid.
