Set in two acres of private gardens and offering marvellous lake and mountain views, this lodge enjoys an unbeatable location which would appeal to any couple looking for a rejuvenating retreat to the lakes. The open-plan living area houses a corner sofa with plenty of room to stretch out and recover from your days walk, whilst the compact yet well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to help prepare your meals. The bedroom has a double bed and a bath enclosure with a shower over, as well as basin and large wardrobe with vanity unit. Perhaps the highlight of the property is the two acres of private gardens with lawns dropping to the lake shore and private jetty, offering sublime views of Ullswater and towering fells. Follow the footpath around the lake shore and uncover an abundance of natural beauty along the way before returning for a glass of wine amidst this lovely setting. The lake offers a number of outdoor activities, from sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, fishing or perhaps you would like to sit back and take a lake cruise on one of the steamers. Within a short walk there are several eating houses and pubs which are perfect if you don’t fancy cooking one night. The towns of Penrith and Keswick are easily reached and offer a number of amenities from independent shops to fascinating exhibitions and art galleries. Great Views but needs an upgrade. Lots of things need attention. Only window in flat is the front patio. No window in bedroom Shower went from warm to cold. Very slippy bath so shower mat is advised. WiFi kept dropping out TV signal same as above Heating was an issue. Needed to boost hot water with immersion heater. Had to download manual for oven as instructions were wrong!!
A long deserved break and we found this lovely place. A apartment next to owners. Parking and lovely gardens and near to lake. A dog friendly place in apartment. Just not allowed on sofa. We found that was fine. The dog chucky loved the place and huge area private to run around. Even able to get near the lake water. Beautiful view of lake avery nice place. The apartment on 1 level, open style kitchen large living area with huge sofa. Basics provided in kitchen including microwave, full oven and hob and fridge . Tv and hoover. So everything there needed. Lodge near to a restaurant easy to walk to. Overall a lovely experience and Patricia was a lovely person who helped well with any queries. I would love to go back one day. All around the area dog friendly and alot of places to visit. The only unusual thing was bath area part of bedroom. But was lovely all in pink.
