Reviews

We have just spent a lovely few days at this wonderful cottage. It exceeded our expectations, with the excellent modern decor, cleanliness and attention to detail by the owners. It had everything we needed and more, and the view of the mountains from the front bedroom was an added bonus. We did manage to park our car in one the six spaces opposite the cottage every day, but can see how it may be a problem at certain times. We visited Portmerion and Snowdonia, can really recommend the National Slate Museum at Snowdonia, which is free entry and there is so much to see (car park £5 all day). I would recommend parking here anyway as it is much cheaper than the other car parks, and just a short walk across a bridge into the main village. On our last day we did the recommended walk up to the abandoned miner's settlement which is only 5 minutes drive from the cottage. Quite steep in parts but lovely scenery with waterfall and a lake, certainly worth doing. There were no local pubs to walk to in the evening actually in Blaenau Ffestiniog, but we used the Chip Shop twice during our visit, and there was so much choice of food and it was all really good. The Co-op is just 5 minutes walk away. We chose this cottage as it was "pet free", as that sort of accommodation is getting increasingly hard to find!!! Please book, you won't be disappointed.
