A warm and cosy hideaway for two, this romantic Grade 2 listed holiday cottage has been carefully restored combining great character and modern comforts - thick walls, beamed ceiling and we adore the large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove and seating! In the kitchen there is an electric oven and hob, washer/drier, fridge with ice box compartment, microwave and toaster, a dining table and 4 chairs. The large sitting room has comfortable sofas and chairs set around the wood burning stove, a small flat screen TV and DVD player. The cosy bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom has a shower over bath, loo and wash hand basin. To the front, side and rear of the cottage is a charming natural lawned enclosed garden. There is parking for 2 cars. Please note that there is a fixed, vertical ladder from the sitting room to crog loft above, which is not for guest use. "Charming, traditional, whitewashed croft cottage - a tranquil rural retreat yet only a short drive to the beach!" Pant y Crintach is located near the northern coast of Anglesey. Nearby Cemlyn Nature Reserve is a lovely place to visit with lots to see, from the birds on the lagoon and the plants along the shingle beach to the lovely rock pools. From the pretty harbour village of Cemaes Bay to the eerie landscape of Parys Mountain and the old harbour at Amlwch you will be spoilt for choice of places to visit. However, the cottage may well entice you to snuggle up and forget the world!

We stayed a week in this cottage. It is very cosy, but feels a bit tired in places. The bedroom is so small and only just accommodates a double bed. Not enough room for two bed side tables. We had to undress in the sitting room. Nice furniture and comfortable bed, No coffee table or side tables to put glasses or books on. The table in the kitchen is too tall for the chairs which made eating uncomfortable and the lighting was too bright. Kitchen felt a bit tired, with two chips on the sink and the light in the fan did not work which made it difficult to read the numbers on the hob. The fire alarm went off three times, even though we had the fan on and the window open. There is only enough room for one person to cook. It is in a lovely remote place and very quiet, so if you want to get away from it all, this is the place. However I felt the cottage was not properly maintained as we arrive to no hot water or heating. Though attempts were made the next day to resolve this issue, the repair only lasted four hours and we were yet again without hot water and heating. The next day the plumber came again and did repair the problems and all was well from then on and I did receive a reduction in rent, though I did have to ask for it twice. It was very cold, until the heating worked and the wood burning stove door had a problem with the catch, which made it difficult to open and close. The garden was perfect for our dogs and the peace and quiet was wonderful. Sykes Cottages who rent out this cottage, have refused to print my review on their site as they only appear to want positive reviews.
