Casita, Benllech

This house is in an ideal location for Benllech beach. It is mostly well appointed and we enjoyed our stay. It was clean but does smell a bit doggy in places. I found it very odd to find a self catering house without a freezer or ice box though, so beware, especially when ordering a supermarket shop for delivery and they send food with similar dates with no capacity to freeze it! Some extra bowls would have been useful, as would working lamps (several bulbs needed replacing), hooks on the back of bathroom doors, a garlic press and a larger saucepan when catering for 6 (we had to split bolognese across two pans).

We booked to stay eleven nights over Christmas, but unfortunately this was cut short by the Welsh lock-down & we had to leave after two nights. Casita was bigger & better than the pictures portray it - now with the added benefit of a dishwasher. The location is amazing with the beach being about a five minute walk away - our dogs loved this. We could have fit two cars on the driveway but wouldn't have been able to close the gates so we left one on the road - no problem. Bedrooms were all a good size & the bathrooms were much larger than expected. The heating was amazing & once warm it remained so for ages. Garden was steep with no lighting, but we already knew this so it didn't cause us any issues - lovely view from the seating at the top. Thanks for letting us stay in your super cool house - everything was amazingly clean.
