Resting on the outskirts of the bustling city of Hereford, lying on the River Wye, is this charming cottage, 2 Stanley Villas. Entering the property brings you into a small hallway, leading through to a well-presented sitting room with a lovely feature fireplace. Boasting a wonderful light decor, wooden furnishings and grey fabric sofas to cosy up and unwind in front of the TV, or break out the popcorn and enjoy a family movie night and bring all your favourite classic films to watch. Along the hallway is a small utility come cloakroom with a basin and WC, as well as a washing machine for an added benefit. Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner home wonderfully appointed to the rear and able to seat up to six guests. Whip up a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen and gather at the table with a refreshing glass of bubbly to celebrate. A door from the kitchen leads out to the rear enclosed garden, offering lawn, gravelled and patio areas where you can sit out of a morning and watch the sun rise with a good book to keep you company. Follow the steps up to the first floor where you will discover three bedrooms, set up as a king-size, one single and one twin which has zip and link features to accommodate all type of guests. Each bedroom comes with plush beds, fresh linens and a range of furniture for storage purposes. Enjoy a refreshing soak in the family bathroom after a long day, or choose to have a quick shower to prepare for your day. Situated on the outskirts of Hereford, you are well-placed for accessing a number of popular attractions, all within driving distance. 2 Stanley Villas is a superb 3 bedroom holiday home and the most well-equipped I have stayed in to date. had everything you’d need (and more). The large back garden is definitely a major selling point and makes this home ideal for families or guests who like privacy. The views are fantastic. The house is very well maintained and I felt at home from the minute I walked in. There was a very good range of DVDs and board games and I was able to watch a film on Amazon Prime on the TV. The living room was very cosy but we spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining room, which was very comfortable to sit in and was also ideal to work from. The WiFi was reliable, so if like me you’re combining a few days’ work and leisure 2 Stanley Villas is ideal. The master bedroom with en-suite was very comfortable and spacious. There’s a downstairs toilet and utility room, upstairs bathroom with bath and the master bedroom’s en-suite. Great to stay in a house with 3 loos. The location is ideal and only 2 miles from Hereford city centre. Plenty of options for nearby supermarkets too. Ross-on-Wye, Leominster and Ledbury are also not too far a drive away in the scheme of things either. Plenty of places of historical interest nearby including several castles as well as great walks and shops. The location was fantastic for me as I’d planned to see as much of the county for my 5 night stay. There are also some very good pubs nearby. There was some road noise but I didn’t find it intrusive. I particularly appreciated the welcome phone call I received on the first day of my stay and the very detailed welcome book for the house, which included just about every local phone number and address you’d need and even included menus from nearby pubs. There was also a 2 pint of milk in the fridge and carrot cake when I arrived, which was greatly appreciated. I’d definitely stay here again and didn’t want to leave.
