Reviews

Rented via Sykes cottages. House requires a deep clean and some love and care to restore to standard. No blinds on sky lights. Black mould in bathroom and bedroom door/windows. Empty cafetiere box - no cafetiere!. Hoover dust housing broken, held on with tape that's lost it stick. No response from text sent prior to arrival. Fridge door shelves missing so limited storage area. Front of cutlery drawer falling off. Food stuck in sink upon arrival. Stairs need attention as heavy clunking noise when walked on due to excessive movement. The cottage is fundamentally a lovely space and beautiful area it's just been neglected.

Friendly hosts welcomed our large party. Farm & countryside outlook provided great views and animals for the kids to interact with. Close to nice pubs, quiet location and near many local place of interest; Arbor Low, Nine Ladies Circle, etc. Vicky & James were extremely welcoming and helpful with ideas for trips. Would love to return and stay longer in this traditional barn with modern conversion. Heartily recommended...
