Downstairs has an open-plan living room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside provides an enclosed lawned garden and patio area with furniture, as well as ample off-road parking. Llofft Yr Yd is a wonderful choice for a family break near the coast of North Wales.

De beschrijving naar het huisje was vanaf Caernarfon. Wij kwamen van een andere kant en daar er geen adres was hebben we behoorlijk moeten zoeken. Nadat we het eindelijk hadden gevonden was het volgende probleem het kluisje waar de sleutel in zat. Dat kregen we niet open. Nadat de eigenaresse die ook moeite had om het kluisje te openen kwam uiteindelijk de sleutel tevoorschijn. Daar ik moeilijk ter been ben was ik blij met de slaapkamer beneden echter de badkamer bleek boven te zijn, terwijl we bij Booking in het Engels (ook in vertaling) lazen dat die beneden zou zijn. Daarom dit geboekt. Zie trouwens dat ook hier bij Tripadvisor staat “Er is een doucheruimte en een garderobe op de begane grond” nu dat is niet het geval. Het blijft jammer dat er bijna nooit een plattegrond is en je via tekst en foto's moet zien hoe het is. We hadden nog geïnformeerd, ook over handdoeken maar geen antwoord gekregen. Beneden was wel een wastafel echter met 2 aparte kranen en geen mengkraan. De huiskamer met aansluitend de keuken heeft een prachtig uitzicht. Het bankstel mag wel vernieuwd worden want je zakt er helemaal in weg en komt er zeer moeilijk eruit. Heb steeds op een keukenstoel gezeten. De keuken is ruim en een heleboel is aanwezig maar wel minimaal voor 5 personen, zelfs voor 2. De paar pannen die er zijn hebben allemaal een pfas bodem vol met krassen wat zeer ongezond is en moet echt nodig vervangen worden. Ik sliep in de mooie grote benedenkamer. Er is geen raam alleen een buitendeur kan open maar dat is niet fijn ’s nachts. Je hoort hier alles van de boven slaapkamer. De houten vloer kraakt en piept maar je hoort ook hoesten, snurken enz. Boven is een grote badkamer en een slaapkamer waar 3 personen kunnen slapen. Ook hier hoor je alles vanuit de beneden slaapkamer behalve de houten vloert. Er is boven ook geen kast waar je kleding kwijt kan. Er is alleen een kast in de beneden slaapkamer. Heerlijk zitje buiten met een fraai uitzicht en de koeien komen vaak even kijken Het is een mooi huis, maar niet voor mensen moeilijk ter been. Er kunnen 5 mensen slapen maar je hoort alles van elkaar Voor 2 mensen zou het prima zijn als je geen probleem heb met het zit conform. Llandwrog is een leuk klein dorpje, het strand is een half uurtje lopen of 5 min met de auto en het National park Snowdonia is vlakbij. Ondanks alle ongemakken hebben we het meer als een uitvalbasis gebruikt en veel gezien maar voor ons geen 2e keer hier in dit huisje.
We enjoyed our stay at Llofft yr Yd during Summer 2020 so much, we just had to come back this year. It is an ideal place for a relaxing break. The property is in a beautiful, peaceful and quiet location, with wonderful views and a very generous garden. The property itself is spotless and well-equipped (including a washing machine and clothes line which comes in very handy when you have children). But more than that, it’s stylishly-decorated, comfortable and homely. We just felt instantly at home there. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the spacious lounge mean you have fantastic views of the garden and fields beyond - all very relaxing. The garden is ideal for children as it has a range of play equipment including swings, climbing frame, basketball hoop, football etc so they always had plenty to do. And there’s plenty of space for the adults to relax and unwind with a drink and a barbecue. The couple who own the property were always friendly and contactable to answer queries. We can’t fault Llofft yr Yd and we will definitely be returning.
