My husband and I have just spent a very relaxing week at this cottage. It is a very cosy one bedroom cottage with a lovely log burner in the living room. The cottage has lovely traditional features such as thick stone walls, small windows and wooden latch doors. The living room has a very comfortable two-seater sofa and a small digital tv and DVD player. There were spare DVDs in a cupboard along with some board games and cards. Neither my husband nor I could get any phone signal so it was actually very nice to be shut away from technology. The cottage is dog friendly so we were able to take our fur-baby along with us. The cottage is located next door to a lovely dog-friendly pub & micro brewery (The New Inn), which served locally produced ales.

We booked to stay here over Christmas, and it was one of the best we have had, this was helped by the cottage allowing dogs. We asked if they could arrange a Christmas tree at a cost and when we arrived there was a wonderful Christmas tree in the living room. We had a great five days helped by the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the friends new inn opposite that also allows dogs. Looking forward to staying again.

The kitchen is being replaced this autumn and will transform the cottage which is really very comfortable for two people. The garden large and enclosed is great to sit in with lots of birds to watch. The cottage is dog friendly. Wifi would be a good addition and I don't think an extra £10 on a weeks rental to cover it would be unreasonable! The Cropton inn, across the road always good for real ale and food. Plenty of walks from the cottage and close by. Lots do do and see in the surrounding area. Would recommend the cottage for a quiet holiday.

A lovely place. A truly magical little cottage perfect for myself and my partner who absolutely loved it. She would like to stay again without a doubt. It was comfy, quaint and private. The pub next door, and I literally mean 25 yards away, is excellent. Altogether a magical weekend.

The cottage was excellent and the garden a delight to relax in. The location was very quiet with a decent pub serving excellent food and ale in 'stumbling' distance of the property. We would definitely rent this cottage again, maybe try it in the winter as it would be very cosy with the log burner.
