It is a perfect base from which to explore this beautiful county. The open plan feel to the property means it is perfect for a family or group of friends wishing to spend time together. It’s just a few miles from Newport and Fishguard and the beaches at Newport Sands, Pwllgwaelod and Cwm yr Eglwys on the north Pembrokeshire coast. The Gwaun valley is very beautiful and offers delightful walks, as do the Preseli Hills and the coast path, which are both nearby. Within walking distance is the Dyffryn Arms, also affectionately known as Bessie's after the long serving landlady. It’s a world famous, traditional 'front room' pub, where you get Welsh ale served from an enamel jug.

The town itself has an array of gift shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs and offers the opportunity of viewing the superb Last Invasion Tapestry, which has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Day trips to Ireland run daily and the picturesque Lower Fishguard Harbour is a delight for sailing enthusiasts. From this perfect holiday base you can enjoy the amazing coastline, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, the beautiful Preseli Hills, where the Stonehenge Blue Stones originated, or explore the array of historic castles, working mills and visit the smallest city in Wales with its magnificent St. Davids Cathedral.
