Location Details

The little village of Henstridge can be found right on the border of Somerset and Dorset, at the head of the lush Blackmore Vale, used as the backdrop to Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles. Surrounded by glorious countryside, Henstridge is well served by a shop, pubs, restaurants and a cafe and offers lovely walks accompanied by fine views.

Reviews

The cottage is situated near the Somerset/Dorset border in easy driving range of many attractions such as Stonehenge, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Jurassic Coast and the north Devon Coast. There are many country walks and several National Trusts estates close by. The house itself is located in a beautiful quiet garden within easy walking distance of the village centre. It is cosy and comfortable. Unlike some houses we have used it was spotlessly clean, ready to relax as soon as you arrive. Peter, the owner, is the perfect host with a mine of information about the locality and attractions.
