Inside, the cottage provides a warm and welcoming feel, with the sitting room inviting you in to sit around the electric fire and soak in your surroundings of the sea from the large window; the perfect place to spend quality time with the group as well as achieve true tranquillity. Move into the kitchen/diner to find everything you could need for a week-long stay, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and a washing machine, with the dining table tucked away neatly to the side of the room, here you can all sit to enjoy a hearty meal when you're not enjoying the delicious delicacies of the neighbouring pub. At the end of a fun-filled day, retreat to one of the two bedrooms to catch up on your rest, choosing from either a king-size or a twin room, both serviced by a glorious shower room, you can ensure each member of the group has a snug spot to rest. Alongside off-road parking, to the rear of the property you can find a lawned area where you can sit while the pleasant sea breeze washes over you. Take a stroll down to the seafront and bathe in the sands or make a splash in the sea before a game of golf ahead of an action-packed day in Annan; full of history and excitement of all kinds in the form of a motte and bailey castle, a museum, a pleasant park and a swimming pool just to name a few of its amusements, it makes a fantastic day out for all tastes. The cottage has been recently renovated to a very high standard. Stunning views over the Solway Firth to the Lake District at the front, and a picnic bench and seating at the back in the garden. The kitchen area is large and pristine, with a dining table just off (and tv on wall), and the living room is comfortable and has the scenic views. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the views of the coast; the twin room is to the rear. Lovely shower in the bathroom. A really peaceful, relaxing place for a holiday, but the Powfoot Hotel is close by if you fancy a very good meal or a drink. There are no shops at Powfoot but lots of nice walks, and Annan or Gretna or Dumfries offer plenty shops. The owners are really lovely, and you’ll have a number to call if there are any issues. Thoroughly recommend this holiday accommodation.
