Location Details
Whitby rests at the mouth of the River Esk in North Yorkshire, just outside of the North York Moors National park. From here, you are well placed to explore the rugged moorland and rolling countryside of the Moors, as well as the Blue Flag awarded sandy beaches along the coast. Whitby boasts many attraction as well as winding streets and hidden alleys, where you can find a wide selection of eateries and shops scattered amongst them. Head to the picturesque harbour and lighthouse to watch the sun set, or get involved in some whale watching or a coastal cruise. Climb the famous 199 steps to the Whitby Abbey to immerse yourself with history, or visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum presenting historical and ethnographic exhibition about Cook himself.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Very well equipped,clean and spacious cottage with 2 bedrooms both with en suite facilities with a bath, shower and rain shower. Kitchen well equipped with oven,microwave and freezer. Utility cupboard contains washing machine and cleaning equipment which was also large enough to store luggage away in. Enclosed garden and patio with flower borders in the tops of the wall. Very close to Whitby , but also close to the main Whitby to Teeside road so can be quite noisy with the doors open but it's well sound proofed with them shut. Would not hesitate to recommend
