Centrally located between the vibrant villages of Bowness and Windermere, Lingmell House is a beautiful Victorian semi-detached house with original features throughout. Step through the front door into a hallway with storage for outdoor clothes. In the living room, a large bay window provides a pretty focal point alongside sumptuous furnishings. A well equipped kitchen / diner with wooden family dining table forms the socail centre of this property. Head to the first floor for two king size bedrooms, one is complemented by a en-suite and a family bathroom is also on this floor. The second floor features a third pretty bedroom, which can be presented as a double or twin. Parking is provided on the road outside the property, with no restrictions. Bowness and Windermere are two of the Lake District’s most popular destinations with an array of shops, bars and restaurants and Lingmell House is a gentle ten minute stroll to the heart of each village. Just minutes from the house you’ll discover some of the areas most beautiful and unspoilt countryside, take in stunning views of the lake from Brant Fell or Biskey Howe. The neighbouring towns of Ambleside and Grasmere can easily be reached by car or bus. Families and friends will adore this spacious self-catering property, with its well-appointed rooms and central location close to the shores of Lake Windermere.

Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
