Just a short stroll from the tranquil village of Crosthwaite, in the north of the Lyth Valley and only a short drive from Bowness and Lake Windermere. The Lyth Valley is lush and laid back, full of picturesque walks and cycling routes and renowned as a peaceful landscape and renowned for its scattering of high-class country pub restaurants, one of which is your local: The Punchbowl Inn is one of the most widely-acclaimed Lake District gastropubs, nestling alongside a pretty old church. The valley is set apart from Lake Windermere by a row of lower level fells, with plenty of space to climb up high and soak up stunning lake views. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden, are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay.
