A charming end-of-terrace cottage resting in the heart of Brynsiencyn, Menai Cottage is a snug bolthole for two to four on the magnificent Isle of Anglesey. Offering a stylish interior along with a great location, Menai Cottage is a wonderful choice for your romantic retreat to North Wales. Take in the pretty white-washed exterior after parking up on the roadside in the village, heading through the front enclosed patio and into the open-plan living and dining room. Spend quiet evenings snuggled on the sofa with your other half streaming the latest release on the Smart TV, while the fire in the multi-fuel stove crackles away in the background. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge and while 4 adults are welcome at the property, guests may find the sofa bed more suitable for children or teenagers. A dining table and chairs is the perfect spot for a meal for two, with the kitchen in the next room boasting all you need for a self-catered stay, including an electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge and a microwave, so you can rustle up a delicious dish. Also at hand is a washing machine, convenient for those longer stays allowing you to pack light, while the ground floor is completed by the shower room here too, offering the best way to begin the day with an invigorating rinse. Make use of the pretty rear courtyard in the summer months, great for alfresco dining with your canine companion at your side. When you’re ready to retire for the day, head back through underfloor heated ground floor and up the stairs to the mezzanine first floor, here you’ll find the wonderful bedroom with a roomy king-size bed, enjoying quaint and fresh décor, with a lovely dressing table and plenty of storage for your things. North Wales’ jewel in the crown, Anglesey makes a fabulous choice for a relaxing break, with the village of Brynsiencyn boasting stunning views over the Menai Strait over to Caernarfon and the Snowdonia mountains in the distance, with the village being home to a pub, shop, Post Office and a takeaway, it has everything you need. For a fascinating day out visit the Anglesey Sea Zoo where you can see conservation in action, a shark pool and exciting diving displays, with a café to stop in too for an afternoon treat as well as Halen Mon. Delight in meeting some new four-legged friends at Foel Farm Park, a lovely home to a host of farm animals and fun-filled activities like tractor rides, feeding animals, and even a chocolate shop! For a day on the beach head west to Newborough Beach, a long sandy stretch enjoying views out to Snowdonia, as well as being backed by the scenic Newborough Forest where several marked walking and cycling trails can be enjoyed. A day trip to Beaumaris is a must with a wealth of history to be discovered at Beaumaris Gaol, The Old Courthouse Museum, and Beaumaris Castle, while adventures can be had on board a Seacoast Safari taking you to Puffin Island to wildlife watch the many seabirds and do some seal-spotting too!
