Ahhh my boyfriend booked Acorn Lodge for both of us to have a break from everyday life, me having finished my first year at university and him working hard. We both really needed this break, the 8 hour drive to get there made it even more needed when we arrived. Brendan was there to greet us on our arrival and took us and our luggage down to our Lodge in a buggy. When we arrived he explained how the hot tub and fire pit worked and what to do incase we had any queries. He was so welcoming and seemed very approachable. The lodge was absolutely immaculate and very well presented. The hot tub had been heated up upon our arrival which was so lovely to jump into with a glass of wine after a long, arduous journey from Cornwall. We’d definitely recommend Acorn Lodge, it was so beautiful and the perfect tranquility and escape from life. Thank you Bridge Lake Farm

We booked here to go Christmas shopping at Bicester village. It was perfect, relaxing and peaceful break away in the countryside we wish we could of stayed longer in this idyllic location with lovley alpacas on entrance. we would defiantly come back here. Good host communications and hospitality with being ferried to the lodge in golf buggies. It was even more better at Christmas with the lit Christmas trees and lovely lighting around the lake

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely lodge and had a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed sitting outside in the hot tub or round the fire pit taking in the surroundings. Service was excellent, they were very happy to help or answer questions at whatever time needed. Definitely recommend.

Our stay was just incredible! The location, the hosts, the lodge, all amazing! The host Brendan makes a great first impression, nothing is too much for him! He had the hot tub ready and waiting for us when we arrived and was only a text away if ever we needed him! The lodge itself is perfect for a romantic get away! It was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed! Needless to say we will absolutely be back!!! We got engaged here and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting!!!!

We had the best holiday here, the Jenkins family were amazing and always checked up with us to make sure everything was okay and asked if we needed anything. On arrival the lodge was spotless, was like we were the first people to stay here. We were assisted with our luggage to our cabin on arrival and helped to set up our hot tub. The view is absolutely amazing, such a great way to relax. Really good experience, will definitely be returning! Thank you for having us!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and had such a lovely time! Brendan was really helpful and welcoming and the lodge was fab. The hot tub was great and so easy to use. Everything we wanted to do around the area was easy to get to which was handy! The lake was really beautiful and the lodge felt really private, even though we had ‘neighbours’ Overall, a really great time away for us and we would recommend it to anyone!

What can I say other than amazing. The owners have created a tranquil place to really rest and recharge. Attention to detail at every point this truly was an amazing place to stay and recharge our batteries. Whilst compact the lodge has everything you need and sitting outside in the evening with the fire pit lit and hot tub warmed you truly forget the stresses and strains of life. The local pub is a 8 minute walk and the staff welcome you with smiles and an array of good beer and wines. So much to do in the surrounding areas and when you come back you kick back and chill out. Will definitely be back

If you are looking for a little getaway that will be nice and quiet look no further! The hot tub was brilliant and the owners provided a starter pack of wood which they heated prior to arrival, really nice touch. Great communication and willing to help anytime. The lodge and surrounding areas are wonderful have eveything you would need for a wonderful stay, would highly recommend!

First time getting away since the pandemic with my partner and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, Brendan was very helpful on arrival and showed us where everything was, he got the hot tub going which was really helpful. The lodges are really clean and the surroundings were fantastic! Some great walks despite the weather and some really nice places to go out and eat. I would highly recommend this, perfect getaway for couples! We will certainly be back!

I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Everything about it was perfect, the hot tub was brilliant and the starter pack of wood was used to heat it prior to our arrival, really nice touch. The lodge itself is immaculate and so peaceful. You are amongst one or two other cabins around the lake but it feels so private. Lovely area for good walks and the fire pit/BBQ was brilliant. Amazing facilities and a wonderful stay, highly recommend!

My partner and I recently stayed at Acorn lodge for 2 nights, this was the first time we have been away since the pandemic began and its safe to say it was everything we could have asked for and more. We were welcomed in by a warm friendly host who gave us a tour (Socially distanced of course) of the lodge and grounds nearby, offering advice and tips on how to use everything and get the best out of our time there with attention to detail for keeping us safe. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy. The moment we drove in we were amazed by the beautiful landscape which the lodge sat, once inside you have a clear view of the peaceful lake outside the front door. The Lodge has a fire-pit and grill to cook on instead on an oven which gave us the opportunity to put our BBQ skills into play along with the wood fire hot tub, we really felt like we were part of the experience to make our time special giving the chance to ‘do it yourself’. Two of the main points for us when we stay away is that the beds are comfortable and the showers are good, I can safely say that the shower was amazing, and water pressure in general was great. The bed was soft and comfortable, plenty of room for two grown adults. In the evening the lake is lit up with lights all around the area along with some lovely outdoor lighting for the hot tub which gave a very calm and relaxing feel. As there is no light pollution at the Lodge we were able to fully enjoy the sunset and stars at night. The only negative about this place is that we couldn’t stay longer! On our next visit we plan to take advantage of the beautiful walks and pubs nearby as we enjoyed the lodge itself so much we didn’t leave. Great excuse to come back again and enjoy the outdoor seating for dinner. 10/10. Thanks so much for having us, looking forward to coming again.
