Situated on a working farm amidst the East Yorkshire countryside is Plough Cottage, a wonderful ground-floor cottage, once a former farm building, now offering a romantic retreat for two. Featuring underfloor biomass heating throughout the property, as well as remote controlled Velux windows, and even a Bluetooth speaker within the bathroom mirror, expect to enjoy a fabulous stay in this contemporary property. Within the large open-plan living space there is a sleek kitchen with a host of quality appliances, all beneath the wood-beamed apex ceiling above, with a sitting area home to a corner sofa and a Smart TV. The bathroom is beautifully fitted with a bath which has a rainfall shower over it, while the king-size bedroom is a serene spot to get some rest. Original brick walls and beams feature throughout, with a wall of glass letting in an abundance of light, opening out onto the patio and the shared seating area beyond. The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning beaches of golden sand stretch out on either side of the historic harbour, bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic 'Old Town' of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the latest Dad's Army has been filmed, whilst the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides evening entertainment. There is also the East Riding Leisure Centre, with family swimming area and a variety of other indoor activities. Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the spectacular heritage coastline. There are numerous places to visit in the area, including Bempton's RSPB bird sanctuary, Sewerby Hall, Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head with its cliffs and caves. This was a quiet location ,the cottage was pleasant hsd marble worktops on kitchen units it was very clean and warm. We found it a bit difficult to find but rang lady who lets it and she was really helpful. Only two quibbles the bathroom had the tiniest sink i have ever seen ,when cleaning teeth it was difficult to get over sink and not dribble in front of it. Impossible to wash hair in it so had to use kitchen sink. Also other people mentioned welcome packs we got 6 tea bags and 6 coffee sachets and a few sugar bags . Pleased we took milk ( have never been to a cottage without a bit of milk in fridge )
Just returned from our stay at the Plough Cottage. We absolutely loved our 3 night stay here & wish we could of stayed longer. It was our 1st break as a family of 3 with our 5 month old and we couldnt of picked a better place to stay. it really does have everything you need for a stress free stay ✅️ lovely quite rural location , 8 miles from Bridlington its a perfect base to explore the east coast. We will definately return ☺️
