Inside, the cottages have retained much of its original character, with exposed beams complementing the contemporary furnishings and mod cons, offering a great base for a self-catered holiday. Both properties enjoy open-plan living rooms, offering great social spaces for everyone to come together to celebrate a wonderful holiday at Tawneys Farm. The sleek kitchens are certain to entice a spot of home-cooking, containing an electric oven and hob, a microwave and plenty of preparation space. Both properties also have a washing machine, so that you can easily wash and dry your clothes after an action-packed afternoon. Spend your evenings within the sitting area, by getting cosy on the plush sofa and flicking on the Smart TV, or in Kingfisher open up the patio doors and watch the wildlife on the pond. The first floor of Swallows contains two bedrooms, one King-size & one double and a family bathroom with a bath so that you can indulge with a relaxing soak after a tiring day. Continuing to impress, gather together within the enclosed garden area to enjoy a glass of something chilled, with the natural pond and endearing farm animals as your backdrop as you enjoy the balmy evening, with something cooking on the gas barbecue. We stayed here for 2 nights 7 and 8th May 2021. Stunning location, on a working farm, and the accommodation is 5 star. Top quality bedding, top quality fittings, everything you could wish for. We stayed during Lambing season, and being able to see hundreds of new borns was quite emotional. Back to the accommodation- clean, modern, hi-spec throughout. Peaceful location and the hosts are really friendly. Would definitely go back.
Our six year old daughter absolutely loved it as she's horse mad! Rachel, Dave, Claire and everyone on the farm were so friendly and patient with all our questions! Accommodation and location are brilliant too. We'll be back in the summer for sure.
