This detached property is a rare find for families or friends seeking a delightful base in which to explore this part of Scotland, littered with rugged landscapes, an abundance of wildlife and plenty of outdoor attractions. As you enter the property, be welcomed into the utility, boasting a washing machine and a tumble dryer, so that you can easily freshen up your belongings after a muddy walk before venturing further into the property. Regroup with your loved ones at the heart of the home, the open-plan living room, filled with elegant interiors and complemented by all the essentials required for a self-catering experience. When you feel like trying your hand at cooking, rather than sampling the culinary delights of Boat Of Garten, make use of the quality range of appliances within the kitchen area, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, as well as a dishwasher to offer a helping hand. Not to be put off by this little hidden cottage- down a lane at the back of shop. Inside was beautiful. Clean, beautifully decorated with good amenities. Amazing base for walking, activities and finding peace. Perfect to take the dog and explore this beautiful area. The utility room was a gift. Muddy boots and wet shoes stored here. Dry and warm the next morning and no dirt through the house.

We have recently returned home from our weeks stay at The Cairn, located in the Cairngorms National Park. Upon arriving, the property was extremely clean and modern inside making our weeks stay extremely comfortable. The Cairn is a fantastic base, located in the Boat of Garten allowing you to explore areas such as Aviemore, Loch Ness and Inverness. We even managed a sunny day at the beach of Roseisle, it’s definitely worth the drive! The property was fantastic to stay in from start to finish and perfect for exploring the Highlands! We can highly recommend and The Cairn gets 5* from us. We cannot wait to return again soon! A big thanks to Elaine and Roy for all of their help during our stay!
