You can also take advantage of the communal clifftop garden to the front of the property where a dining area with benches allows you to enjoy breath taking views across the whole bay and maybe even spot seals and dolphins! Relax in the day by the pool or take advantage of the all-weather tennis court for some friendly competition. Wander down to the viewing platform which poignantly illustrates how the original village of Hallsands was reduced to rubble by the waves on a stormy night in 1917. From the front of the property, you can head in either direction along the breath-taking South West Coast Path. Less than 5 minutes’ walk takes you to the fine shingle beach at Hallsands or venture a little further to the larger seaside village of Beesands (20 minutes’ walk or a short drive) with its popular seafood café (fabulous fish and chips!) and foodie pub, The Cricket Inn, Pub of the Year in the South West Tourism Awards 2019! Further along the coast you will find two of the most popular beaches in South Devon: Slapton Sands, famous as the site for the rehearsal of the D-Day Landings and Blackpool Sands, a privately owned and maintained Blue Flag Award-winning beach backed by evergreens and scented pines.
