Location Details
Chirbury is a charming village resting in west Shropshire in the Vale of Montgomery. Resting alongside the Wales-England border, it makes a fantastic touring base. The village hosts a pub, Post Office and local shop, offering all you could need for a self-catered stay, while the inviting town of Montgomery is in easy reach and offers a wider selection, while the historic town of Bishop's Castle is just a scenic car journey away too.

We are currently here on holiday (September 2023). This is a superb holiday pod. Very quiet, very peaceful, situated on a meadow within a farm. It's very secluded and tranquil. There are 2 pods here , one larger than the other, we stayed in the smaller one. It's very compact, but has everything you need for a few days stay, cooking facilities, including outdoor barbecue, bathroom with great shower, living/kitchenette area. Bed pulls out from wall and there is also a single bunk. Gas and electric is included in price. Conservatory and decking area. There is also use of an outdoor hut with rocking chairs situated at bottom end of meadow by a small pond. Ideal for a "get away from it all break" . Close to the towns of Bishops Castle and Welshpool. Lovely place.
We booked at short notice for a few days. these pods are in the most perfect tranquil meadow with a pond....the pod we stayed in had everything we needed....particularly loved the twinkling lights , we saw a large variety of birds there..! it was very hot. the patio furniture at pod 1.....was amazing. thankyou to the owners. !
This was accidentally booked through Sykes cottages at 8.40pm! At 9am the following morning I called Sykes cottages who were really helpful and called jacobs meadow to see if this could be cancelled ! The owners informed Sykes that they needed to keep £50 as they’d had it cleaned ! The timings speak for themselves ! I felt ripped off
What a fantastic stay we have just had in this perfect little gem of a place. Pod 1 is compact but comfortable and cosy, with the hosts having thought of just about everything you need for a short break. The setting is idyllic and peaceful surrounded by nothing but wildlife and hills. We took my dog and it was lovely for her to roam freely round the meadow and pond. Sitting in the little summer house at the top of the meadow with a glass of wine and beautiful scenery is nothing short of heavenly. There was a selection of board games and old comedy DVD’s provided if you fancy a chilled night in after a days fresh air. Will certainly make a return trip later in the year. Clean, comfortable, homely and nature all in one short stay. What’s not to love?
