If you fancy a special treat one evening, take a short stroll into the village centre, where you will find a cluster of traditional pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as a superb range of shops for picking up sweet treats, gifts and essentials. Brush up on the village’s history by visiting the Brontë Parsonage Museum or putting on your walking boots to follow the trails of Heathcliffe and Catherine along the famous Top Withens, which is said to have inspired Emma Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, among other fantastic walks upon the surrounding moorland. Nearby is the market town of Skipton, which has won awards for its cobbled high street, and has independent shops and eateries, as well as a castle dating back to 1090. Also within driving distance is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, which has an abundance of attractions, including Turkish Baths and an excellent theatre. A cosy holiday cottage just right for a romantic retreat in the heart of Bronte Country.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, and today offers curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets, shops, pubs and restaurants. After paying a visit to the Brontë Parsonage Museum and setting off on foot across the moors to visit the Bronte Waterfall and Top Withins farm, thought to be the inspiration for Wuthering Heights, venture further afield. Reviews

We booked this cottage, after reading all the reviews and we were not disappointed. Located at the top of Main Street in Haworth and within walking distance from all the local eating and drinking places. The owner of the cottage has excellent customer service skills and the communication between us and them, was exceptional. The cottage comes with a handy car park permit, for the car park located at the end of the road - within walking distance. The decor is to a very high standard and the owner takes pride in his property. The bathroom, in particular looks very new and modern. Everything you need is catered for and the extra little touches are things like spare batteries / refuse sacks / washing up liquid / full and detailed instructions for everything in the cottage. The owner also sends over very detailed information, for both the cottage and everything local ( pubs and restaurants etc). The best feature was the bed, which was huge and very comfortable. If you are looking for somewhere to stay and like your creature comforts, this is the place for you.
