The delightful seaside of Barmouth is also well-worth a visit and for the avid rambler, the Snowdonia National Park awaits, with the peaks of Foel Penolau, Rhinog Fawr and Moel Hebog located close by. Other local attractions include Coed y Brenin Forest Park, Llechwedd with underground mine tours and Gelert's Grave, which is the tombstone dedicated to the faithful hound of a medieval prince.
