Sarah's Cottage is in a peaceful, rural setting just perfect for relaxing & escaping the day to day routine. Brian & Sarah are fantastic hosts. The cottage is very spacious with everything you need. Nice surprise of milk in the fridge, along with some cake & also cheese & biscuits on arrival. A great location for exploring Northumberland or even the Scottish Borders. There are lots of local walks also, with a lovely walk down to the River Hartburn. Really enjoyed our stay & will return.

A beautiful comfortable cottage which is just right for 4 adults or a family. Well equipped warm and cosy. Spacious bedrooms with fabulous En-suite bathrooms Great location and easy drive to the coast. The owners Brian and Sarah (hope I remembered that right) are friendly and really helpful with recommendations and suggestions and on hand to sort anything out if needed. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

We stayed for a week at Sarah's cottage with our dog, and couldn't recommend it more. The cottage was lovely, the kitchen well-stocked with useful cooking implements, plates etc (unlike some places!), and the cake and cheese left for us upon arrival was a lovely and delicious surprise.

We just had a wonderful week’s stay at Sarah’s Cottage with our two young children and dog for the last week of the school holidays. Sarah and Brian we perfect hosts, so welcoming and friendly. Brian took our children to collect their hen and duck eggs in the morning, and to see the ponies too. When we arrived very late, Brian welcomed us in, and we were met with the most delicious goodies including local cheeses and cake made by Diana (which is I think the best cake I’ve ever had!!). The cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy, and had everything we needed, including emergency supplies for dogs! The beds were super comfy and everything felt really spacious. We visited various different local attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle (great for kids!) Wallington House, Kielder Water and Bird of Prey centre, and did many walks and runs straight from the cottage. I would highly recommend Sarah’s Cottage, it’s great for families or couples, the layout was great and interesting with the 2 staircases! Thank you so much for a wonderful summer holiday!!

We had a fabulous week at Sarah's cottage. The cottage was very comfy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. Brian and Sarah were excellent hosts and had lots of tips on places to visit and where to eat out. We loved meeting all the animals and collecting eggs from the chickens. The surrounding area is stunning with loads to explore from beaches to castles and Hadrians wall. Would definitely recommend.
