Beach 0.1 miles. Note: There is no WiFi at this property and phone signal is intermittent. Note: There are over 100 steps down to the cottage, which may unfortunately not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. You may need a torch if arriving at night time, please take care. Note: Cot bedding is not provided. Note: There is an interlinking door between North and South Segganwell, which can be unlocked if both cottages are booked by the same party. Note: The public do have access to the beach in front of the cottages. Maybole, the ancient capital of Carrick, is a highly desirable town resting in South Ayrshire, Scotland. Hosting a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and well as an impressive castle and 19th century town hall, it makes a brilliant base at any time of the year. Explore the wonders of the coast with plenty of beaches boasting watersports and plenty of walking routes, while the Galloway Forest Park is well-worth exploring too for a scenic experience like no other.

We have stayed at north and south segenwell 3 times now and absolutely loved it. Looked to book again for 2022 and was shocked and saddened to see the absolutely horrendous price increase. In 2018 we paid under £400 for 4 nights - for the same time in 2022 we are looking at well over £1000. The cottages are basic but clean. It is a piece of heaven. Really sad to say we will never stay again due to the appalling price rises since linking with Sykes cottages
