Reviews

We enjoyed our stay in Redwood Cottage, which is a lovely cottage in a great location. It would have been easier if we could have parked outside, but we managed ok by using the club car park round the corner. The friendly neighbour gave us a permit and we got another one from the chap in the club. We enjoyed quite a few coffees and breakfasts in The Old Station coffee shop beside the club. The cottage was clean and well equipped- some antibacterial spray would have been useful. The garden was brilliant for our two Spaniels. However We weren’t happy about the damp patch in the main bedroom. This really needs addressing. We had a lot of rain during the week and the two walls felt damp to the touch at the top in a couple of places. There was an odour in the lounge which we thought may have been the result of a previous dog visitor, or possibly damp. My husband mentioned it to Lucy, who said that she would have the carpet professionally cleaned. All in all we did enjoy our stay.

Nice little 2 bedroom cottage in a small village right next to a convenience store. Enclosed garden for doggo. Fully furnished kitchen with dishwasher. Parking awkward. Virtually impossible down lane outside cottage and two closest parking areas on maps display signs saying No Overnight Parking. Parked up steep nearby road instead. As you might expect with an old cottage the floorboards creak. It was raining heavily one night and there was loud consistent dripping outside main bedroom window. Main bedroom had some damp damage in corner too. Heating clanged a lot during night as radiators prob need bleeding so we turned it off. Beds were on the softer side which we liked. TV was a 32inch Toshiba with Netflix but no Amazon. You would need to sign in and sign out again. WiFi was good. 60/16mb. EE had virtually no signal. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Garden would be lovely in summer and everywhere was clean and well maintained. Would recommend.
