Location Details

The village of Hutton rests around four miles from the bustling seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, and is perched on the edge of the beautiful Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is home to a pub, The Old Inn, as well as a local shop, Hutton Stores, offering all you need on a self-catered stay. Venture into the Mendips for stunning scenery and walking country, and head to the sandy beach at Weston-super-Mare for classic donkey rides, ice creams and plenty of fun.

Really well thought out barn conversion creating a lovely three bedroom holiday home. The property had all the amenities we needed, the large hot tub in the enclosed courtyard was a particular bonus. The property owner, Robert, was really helpful in providing all the information we needed Excellent local pub a few hundred yards away where the staff were really friendly (Need to book for meals as it was very popular) Great week away!

We booked a staycation due to COVID and were really pleased with our choice. This cottage is in a lovely village a short walk from the local pub. We took part in the local pub quiz on the Sunday evening and everyone was really friendly. The accommodation is very spacious with 3 good size double bedrooms. One room has air conditioning and the other an ensuite. There is a good size family bathroom with a shower over the bath and an additional bathroom in the annexe. The hot tub is a great addition but we didn't need it due to the amazing weather. The cottage is 10 minutes drive from Weston Super Mare. Pets are welcome and catered for although we didn't take our kitten. There is a large, private garden which would be great for small children as there is plenty of shade. The facilities are great with a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine. Nothing has been forgotten and on the couple of rainy days we had we happily spent them at the cottage playing games and watching films. The WiFi was good (we have 2 teenagers) although it seemed to drop out a bit in bad weather (heavy rain and high winds). We stayed for 2 weeks and opted for a clean and bedding change after the first week - which was lovely to come back to after a day at the beach. I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage and would happily go back, cost permitting.

What can we say, the property was fantastic, well equiped, clean, such a great place to stay. Probably the most luxurious and comfortable self catering we have ever stayed in. The owner Rob was brilliant, one of the party recently broke her leg, and he sorted out accomodation on the ground floor of the annexe. Definately went the extra mile. We highly recommend this. Thanks for a great holiday
