The village also plays host to a number of historical landmarks, including of the 14th-century, St Mary's Church, a carved tomb of Sir George Sydenham, the father-in-law of Sir Francis Drake and a rare medieval stone pulpit, one of only two in Somerset.

Our lucky day finding this super little cottage for our much needed short break. The local supermarket had delivered our order the morning of arrival which meant straight away we could enjoy a relaxing evening in the hot tub and a great nights sleep in a comfy bed. Andy, the owner was very helpful when we girlies couldn’t work the tele out ( our fault). Walking distance onto the Quantocks so if you enjoy biking or hiking over spectacular moorland, book this very well equipped cottage, you won’t be disappointed.
