25 St Georges Quay is a charming period apartment housed on the top two floors of a Grade II listed building, dating from the 1750s on Lancaster’s historic quayside, overlooking the River Lune and yes, there’s free parking, too. As soon as you enter the hall, you’ll notice the solid wooden floors have shifted slightly over the years, adding to the building’s quirky and creaky character. The bedrooms are here, accessed directly from the hall. The rear south-facing bedroom overlooks Quay Meadow, whilst the front bedroom boasts stunning river views through its Georgian windows. The modern bathroom’s on this floor, too. Watch your head as you climb the stairs and you’ll come up into the living room. Roughly-hewn wooden beams line the high V-shaped ceiling. This was once the home of one of Lancaster’s leading 18th Century merchants. With daylight streaming into the living room through the generous Velux windows in the roof, what better place to sit and enjoy the views. The newly fitted kitchen is accessed directly from the living room. There’s free, unlimited, on-street parking just 1min away as well as a Pay and Display right behind the property.

Lovely location great for exploring the area by bus train or car. The river at the front is tidal and ever changing, rich with wildlife and even salmon . Behind is the castle and priory but so much to see locally on foot if wet or sunny. The penthouse accommodation is quiet comfortable and clean and very historic. Only 3 mins walk to free 24/7 parking or free outside 3pm-11am sharp . Great food at the waggon and horses ( 1 min walk) .100% happy

Situated on the river Lune next to Maritime Museum a couple of doors from pub and two restaurants, this is a super apartment. Recently renovated, it is beautiful, stylish yet homely at the same time. Lots of extras like goodie basket, quality toiletries etc. Also fresh flowers! Watching the river's tide rush from the front or seeing a deer in the park on the rear side was such a treat. We used it as a base for all the amazing Wildlife Trust and RSPB sites close by around Morecambe Bay, South Lake District, whilst being in the gorgeous city with access to all the lovely city amenities. Owner of property is highly responsive and helpful which is also a bonus.
