Location Details
Askam-in-Furness, a civil parish located on the Duddon Estuary between Kirkby-in-Furness and Barrow-in-Furness, is often referred to as "the gateway to the Western Lakes and the Coast." Askam and Ireleth, the two villages that make up the settlement, are located close to the Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve and the Lake District National Park. Other nearby attractions include the South Lakes Safari Zoo and the Dunnerholme Golf Club.
