We stayed here for a week in December. In the mornings, the view over the fields from the conservatory and outside patio, were stunning. The cottage has been beautifully designed to a high standard, with everything two people could want from a self catering property. A thoughtful welcome basket was left by the owners Helen and Richard, who live in the neighbouring property. The underfloor heating was wonderful when you go from the carpeted bedroom out to the kitchen and lounge area. Would highly recommend the cottage and also this area of County Durham. Worth a visit as a lot of wonderful places to explore.

We stayed here Wednesday to Saturday and we were very impressed with the cottage. Helen and Richard had thought of everything that we could ever have needed. The cottage was well decorated and very comfortable the view from the conservatory was fantastic. It is a beautiful quiet location and there is a Co-op shop and a pub a short distance away and the local village is only a very short drive away. Although we had rain on one of the days, we did get out and about and Raby Castle is a good place to visit as is the Beamish Museum. We would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to book again in the near future.

My partner booked West Reins as a surprise for me and it was simply fantastic! The views are INCREDIBLE that it made it a perfect stay even if the weather didn't allow for much time outdoors. Luckily, we did manage to get a few sunny days and the village itself is very friendly. The cottage was occupied with everything we could have needed and a welcome basket was a lovely touch. It was immaculately clean throughout and finished to a really great standard. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
