Outwell is a Norfolk settlement between Wisbech and Downham Market. Nearby attractions include Ring's End Local Nature Reserve, Peckover House and Garden, and Thetford Forest Park for walking paths and family-friendly activities. The Crown pub and The Moorings Restaurant serve traditional meals. Convenience stores and supermarkets are nearby. Wisbech, where you may find stores, restaurants, and local history museums, is nearby. Peterborough, Ely, and King's Lynn are further afield.

Reviews

On first arriving and being shown round by Tracey all looked ok. Nice furniture good outdoor space with comfy sun beds and seating. Plenty of room for 3 sets of families. Comfy beds and pillows. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and cooking pans etc. on the first morning the upstairs shower leaked through the ceiling lights into the lounge, Tracey was notified but couldn’t do anything about it, we were careful the reset of the week but still leaked and had to have a mop bucket in the lounge all the time. There was a stain on the ceiling of another leak too. There was also an infestation of ants in the kitchen running along work surfaces work surfaces and in the cutlery drawer, Tracey provided ant catchers which were unsightly and asked us what should she do, she’s the manager and should deal with things like this. Previous guests left a lot of rubbish and the domestic bin was full and not the week for emptying again Tracey took some bags away but wasn’t enough. Where the main bigger bins were there was a blocked drain and soapy water from the upstairs shower room left that area constantly muddy again not ideal. I also feel the policy of emptying the dishwasher before leaving and filling the cupboards back up is totally wrong as the cupboards and cutlery drawers do not get cleaned out they were full of crumbs from previous guests. I felt this needed to be said and hope all these problems get sorted for further guests as it is a very well appointed holiday home.
