Reviews

I rarely leave reviews after a holiday but leaving no feedback for this place would not be right! The pictures really do not do this place justice, the perfect peaceful stay with so much to do nearby. Having spent an unforgettable stay here, this lodge is the hard to compare to any stay I’ve had before. Really cozy and there is not one thing I could have made a complaint on. The facilities such as the smart tv, the walk in shower which was amazing after a day of walking around the amazing spots near by, the coffee machine with pods at the ready and the kitchen facilities -everything for a cosy little home away from home. Made so welcomed by the host Jackie who had actually text us to let us know check in was ready early, who we had bumped into while she was getting the ice ready for the bottle of fizz and lovely welcoming touches once we had arrived. The place itself where it is situated it’s incredibly quiet and peaceful and the view is next to none, the perfect view of the sunset each night over the sea and towns while remaining so peaceful with the birds chirping. It was an incredibly tough goodbye leaving the bed which is a spacious bed and probably the nicest and most comfortable of beds I have ever stayed in while being away from home. We enjoyed it that much we was lucky enough to extend our stay by a night as there was no further people checking in, which the host made no issue at all and was amazing in regards to. The hosts in all here are incredible, while not being too overwhelming but the perfect amount of help if we ever needed it - thank you!

Bod Erw Lodge is the perfect getaway and having spent a fantastic 7 days here this property is the epitome of exceptional standards and luxury. This isn't a lodge with an anonymous magazine-style design - it is made welcoming and luxurious with help of the personal touches and quality accessories (no one wants to drink fizz out of cheap glasses!) The lodge itself is way beyond being 'well-appointed', everything here is exceptional which begins with the grassed and decking area, with furniture to relax and/or dine at or just to observe the views and listen to the falcons, and of course the Gas BBQ, then its a step inside to the stylish yet efficient kitchen (with everything you need for a quick breakfast to a full meal) with a table to dine at all complimented by the perfect sofa to lounge on whilst logging into the smart TV to watch your favourite films and TV series. Pass through a bathroom that would rival most top-quality hotel rooms with its high-quality fittings including a luxurious power shower (and not forgetting the fluffy robes and slippers) The other side of the bathroom is the bedroom which is set up for the perfect nights sleep, a spacious bed with a top-quality mattress and bedding which certainly makes it a struggle to get up in the morning! Reading lamps, dressing table and hairdryer make this a great, functional room, with luxury to compliment the absolute peace and quiet the lodge offers. The hosts here are also exceptional - we had a long 5+ hour drive and were a little frazzled on arrival, so to be greeted with some drinks on ice and the decking area all setout was a perfect welcome, as was the lowdown on what was available near-by especially the delicious takeaways within walking distance! We had little need for anything else in the lodge (replacement coffee pods, new towels etc) but the level of care given by the hosts is very reassuring and welcoming. The local village/town is great for such a small place, the local Indian is absolutely delicious (use the app to order as everything is cooked fresh), there are a number of other takeaways, mini markets, pubs and a butchers, and a walk down to the waterfall is an absolute must. We used the lodge as the perfect base to visit the nearby beaches, Snowdonia, Zip-world (which is fantastic) and we certainly will be returning to explore further in the not too distant future and to enjoy the sunsets overlooking the sea (and if it's cold to enjoy the awesome underfloor heating!)

We arrived at Bod Erw Lodge up a private driveway leading to beautifully furnished accommodation with sun deck including bbq in a lovely peaceful location. The coastal views from here across the Vale of Clwyd were breathtaking. Welcoming fizz and beers on ice with homemade goodies greeted us on arrival. The Nespresso coffee machine was an absolute winner as well. A very comfortable bed with beautiful linen, after a long journey, was very inviting where we both slept soundly. We stayed for three nights but would have extended had there not been someone else arriving. The hosts were very friendly & helpful. The whole lodge was furnished to a very high standard with great attention to detail and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back to stay at this idyllic lodge, later in the year.

Fantastic lodge for a romantic break. Beautifully presented with impeccable attention to detail. We would strongly recommend a stay here. We had a wonderful BBQ in the evening, with an added bonus of a beautiful sunset over the magnificent sea view.
