Enjoying far-reaching views over Amroth beach, Caban Y Mor is a delightful choice for those seeking a seaside escape. Just a mile from the bustling village of Saundersfoot, this attractive lodge has been lovingly restored to provide a contemporary home for families and couples. Accessed by a set of external stairs, step into the bright and airy open plan living space, comprising off all the essentials required for a short break. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, making use of the integrated appliances to prepare a picnic for the next day’s beach adventure, or even a heart-warming evening meal. Gather for your home-cooked treats at the dining table, before sinking into the sofa and browsing the Smart TV for your favourite series. As you tire, head to either the double and twin bedroom, both neatly presented with white bed linen, and housing ample storage for your personal items. Begin each morning with a refreshing shower before stepping onto the private patio, sipping a fresh coffee as you take in golden splendour. If you don’t feel like cooking, then just a moment’s walk away lies the New Inn pub, serving a traditional pub menu and Sunday lunch, whilst further eateries can be found down the road, including the Amroth Arms, The Smugglers Bar & Grill and the Templebar Inn. Meander along the beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast, where you will find a magnitude of glorious beaches as well as the coastal path where dolphins can be spotted. Once you have enjoyed the scenic views, visit the charming seaside resort of Tenby, with its ancient walls, award-winning beaches and boat trips to the monastic Caldey Island, home to more than a thousand years of prayer and quiet living. Other attractions in the surrounding area include the vintage fun fair at Folly Farm and the exhilarating rides at Oakwood Theme Park, providing adventure for all the family. Enjoy a memorable break in one of Wales’ most glorious settings along the Pembrokeshire coast.

Reviews

I’m reluctant to write a review on this place, as it will only lead to more interest and therefore end up restricting the availability for when we want to go there next. The accommodation was very modern, clean and comfortable. The owners were unobtrusive but very much available as they also run the nearby pub, the New Inn. Caban Y Mor is very close to the beach at Amroth. In the morning you just open the patio doors and stroll out to a fantastic view. The accommodation is not suitable for anyone with a mobility disability as there is a long flight of metal steps to be negotiated to gain access to the apartment. But this is a minor matter for most. The accommodation is ideally located as a base for exploring around the Pembrokeshire area, with the busier resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby a short drive away. There are also many off the beaten track beaches to discover for the more adventurous. We ate at local restaurants and in the evenings used the New Inn for food and local ales. The food on offer is very good pub grub. We felt very relaxed staying at this place and were fortunate with the weather which also helped in our enjoyment. Overall this was for us, perfect. We can’t wait to go back again and just hope that we can find a week available that matches our requirement, but I think this could become a very popular place.
